Chili Crisp Fried Rice Bowl with Edamame and Choice of Protein

A bold, customizable option perfect for a university build-a-bowl station. With a base of wok-fried rice tossed in chili crisp, edamame, and aromatic seasonings and student's choice of protein.
Preparation Instructions:
Step 1
Prepare fried rice, edamame and onions according to package instructions. Chill rice.
Step 2
Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger, stirring until fragrant.
Step 3
Add the chilled rice, breaking up any clumps. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Stir in the chili crisp, soy sauce, edamame, and caramelized onions, tossing until well coated and heated through.
Step 5
Add your prepared protein of choice, stirring until evenly distributed.
Step 6
Remove from heat and top with green onions and sesame seeds for garnish.
Step 7
Serve hot in a bowl, allowing students to customize with additional toppings like crispy shallots, fried egg, or extra chili crisp.
Step 8
For the Furikake Guacamole: Thaw avocado. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, season with salt and drizzle with sriracha. Serve with tortilla chips.
